I am a marathoner!

Longer post and recap to come, but I am majorly excited about this and wanted to post something straight away!

I ran the New York City marathon in 4.56.18, I had a dream of making it in less than 5 hours and I am so stoked that I managed to do just that!

And let me just say this race is amazing the crowds are mental, loud, encouraging, super enthusiastic and makes running a marathon there an extremely rewarding experience. I ran the larger part of the course with a huge grin on my face, totally enjoying being able to run and running this iconic course.

Today my quads are somewhat interesting and I walk a little funny, but it was so worth it, and I’ve already forgotten the pain and want to do another one…

Congratulations Mari!!! I love that less than 24 hours out, you’re already ready to do another. Welcome to the addiction! πŸ˜‰ Glad you had a good race and congrats on your sub-5 finish! I hope you celebrate this for a very long time!

Thank you Lauren, I didn’t spot you guys on the course unfortunately, but the crowds all along were nothing short of amazing. I am so grateful that I got to experience this at least once (of course I want to come back now, but that’s another matter…)

Yeah addiction that’s for sure, it feels like nothing else to finish that race, I totally teared up! Met so many amazing people on and off the course on the day and leading up to it as well.

Celebrations will most definitely be taking place for the forseeable future! πŸ˜€

Definately something to be proud of! I am no way a runner, never will be. Now, if they had a sitting in your chair in front of the TV/computer-race, I can outwit – outsit anyone!!!

Ha ha, I’d be incredibly bad at that type of race most days. Today though I think I could be right up there with the masters… πŸ˜‰
