On Scotland: Dean Village, Edinburgh

Today is the Mr’s birthday, and just to clear things up he is Scottish hence the connection… So I felt like today is an excellent day to start a series on Scotland, it might not be completely clear at the moment, but I have somewhat of a love affair with this country. I love the landscape, the people, the ever changing weather (yeah even the rain…) and on top of that the country is just so photogenic!

It is one of the few places that I have lived and moved away from long before I was tired of the place, if I could I would move back to Edinburgh in a heartbeat. However that is just not on the cards at the moment. However I have lots of pictures both from Edinburgh itself and all over Scotland, the Mr is from near the Isle of Skye which might just be one of the most beautiful places on earth!

The pictures today is from Dean Village in Edinburgh, this is one of the more “hidden” gems in Edinburgh. Not that obscure, but not a major tourist trap. It is a lovely place and the walk from Dean Village to Stockbridge alongside the Water of Leith is well worth your time!

This last picture is even orange and green… How fitting!

All that is left to do is to with the Mr a very happy birthday! You can find him over at foreignscot if you are interested in knowing his take on Malta.
