About me

Hello, thanks for stopping by my blog!

FilmStrip

This is me! Well some of my many faces, number three proves I am my mother’s daughter… My name is Mari and I am a Norwegian at the moment living in a place I never thought I would live or like, which shows that we all sometimes have to eat our words, London. Age wise I am reaching 30 31 this year, and actually I rather like it!

This blog is a place for me to share my thoughts, photos, recipes, training and whatever else pops into my mind. As well as chronicling my new found love of marathons, no seriously just ran my first (NYC) last November, and I want to do another one…  It is also part of my grander scheme (of taking over the world… oh wait that was the plan I discarded), basically getting me into writing again. My aim is to get back to university next autumn.

Why Orange & Green?

Well… Those are my two favourite colours (and colours are my thing, yeah I go on about them a little too much sometimes), I think the combination of those two colours just sing.

What I have also found is that it is a combination that taste really lovely…  Spinach and rocket salad with roasted sweet potato for instance. Shredded carrot with pumpkin seeds and fresh coriander another… See what I am getting at? One of the my favourite natural occurrences of this colour combination is the humble orange tree, just stunning.

Oh and…

I am definitely more than a little bit of a geek… You have been warned…

    So cool that you are in Malta! I was actually invited to a yoga seminar that was being held in Malta a few weeks ago but it was right when my mom was visiting. If I make it next time… and it’s in Malta… you will be hearing from me! 🙂

    Good idea for your colorated PHD, bcause god says that he has created colors in the mountains, the plants, and the humans; wich means the importance of the colors in life and in univers;
    However, don t forget to think about the yellow color, because he says also that yellow makes the observer happy…

    And you now that sun is yellow, and gold is yellow too…

    • Mari says:

      Yellow is a very very interesting colour, it can have so many different effects, and has also had a rather ambiguous meaning historically. Really intriguing!!!

    I’m working on my PhD in Environmental Psychology, but have a HUGE love affair with colors. I have a microblog Spectrums and Rainbows that is only for colors! and, if you don’t already know, there is a site for fellow color lovers called Colour Lovers. Check it out! I’m looking forward to read your posts and view your pics, I just subscribed to your blog!
